Short-Term Parking

1. Choose an implement parking location with level ﬁrm

ground. Do not unhitch on a steep slope.

2. Fold harrow (page 19).

3. Engage transport lock chains (page 16)

4. Install jack stand on tongue (page 13).

5. Use parking jack to neutralize tongue weight at trac-

tor hitch.

6. Set hydraulic circuits to neutral.

7. Disconnect hydraulic lines. Secure them so that they

do not touch the ground.

8. Disconnect lighting connector, capping where provi-

sioned.

9. Disconnect safety chain.

10. Unhitch. Restart tractor and pull away from ﬂex har-

row.

Long-Term Storage

1. Clean ﬂex harrow of mud, dirt, excess oil and grease.

2. Lubricate all points listed in Maintenance.

3. Apply grease to exposed cylinder rods to prevent

rust.

4. Inspect ﬂex harrow for worn or damaged parts. Make

repairs and service during off season.

5. Use spray paint to cover scratches, chips, and worn

areas on the ﬂex harrow to protect the metal.

6. Park implement per “Short-Term Parking” above.
