Tank Lid Operation

Liquid fertilizer is customarily loaded from below the tank

via the quick-ﬁll inlet, but may also be loaded from above

with the lid removed.

Do not open the lid while a quick-ﬁll operation is already

in progress. The lid is vented, and will be releasing vapor

from the tank. At higher inlet rates, the tank may also be

mildly pressurized, and removing the lid could expose

you to sudden high concentrations of vapor.

Wear chemical gloves. The underside of the lid is likely to

be damp or wet, and coated with whatever chemicals

have been used.

Wear a mask or respirator. Consult the MSDS

for the

materials recently used, or material to be loaded.
