2.8 Parking the machine
In order to avoid damage as a result of
moisture,themachineshouldbeparked,if
possible,indoorsorundercover.
Whenmanoeuvringthemachine,
pay attention to your surroun-
dings. Ensure that nobody is in
themanoeuvringarea.
•Fitwheelchocks.
•Lowertheparkingstand.
•Raisethemachineandremoveshimsfrom
theliftaxleanddrawbarcylinders.
•Lowerthemachinetotheground,ensuring
thatitisstable.
When parking with the machine
unfolded,ensurethat noloadis
carriedbytheSpringresettines.
Thiscanleadtobreakageofthe
points.
•Removethedrawbarpinanddriveforward
slowlyuntilhitchisclearoftractordrawbar.
•Lowerthedrawbartotheground.
•Switchoffthetractoranddisconnecthy-
drauliclines.
2.6 Trailing Implements
2.6.1 Hitching a Press Roll to
the SL700

Adding a trailing implement to
theSLwillaffectthestabilityand
handling of the machine both in
transportandwork.
1. RaiseMachinetoremoveshimsfrom
theliftaxletoallowreardrawbartobe
raised/lowered.
2. Reverse the SL700 up to the press
roll, ensuring that the drawbars are
correctly aligned allowing a slight
clearancetoenablethemachinesto
becoupledtogether.
3. LowertheSL700totheground.
4. Attach the hydraulic hoses between
theSL700andthepressroll.
5. Open the taps on the press roll
drawbar.
6. Raise the press roll drawbar to
approximately 300mm above the
SL700drawbarclevis.
7. Closethepressrolldrawbartaps.
8. Raise/lower the SL700 to the same
heightasthepressrolldrawbar,then
reversetheSL700tocouplethetwo
machinestogether.
9. Open the taps on the press roll
drawbar.
10. Fullyraisebothmachinesintotheroad
transportposition.
11. Close the taps on the press roll
drawbar.
2.7 When driving on the
road
Whendrivingontheroadthemachinemust
beconvertedtothetransportationposition.
Whendrivingontheroad,ensure
adequateclearancetopreventthe
workingelementsdraggingonthe
ground.
Ensure that no fouling occurs
between the SL and the towed
machine.
Any tines on the towed machine
shouldbeadjustedsothattheydo
notengagethesoil(orshouldbe
removedaltogether).Ininstances
whereaUniPressistowedbehind
the SL the UniPress tine frame
shouldberemovedcompletely.
